Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions? We Have Answers

Everything you need to know about setting up and running your MotixSpray motion-activated sprinkler.

How does MotixSpray repel armadillos and garden pests?

MotixSpray uses a responsive PIR infrared sensor that registers movement and heat signatures up to 32 feet away. When triggered, it fires an abrupt 5-second burst of pressurized tap water that startles trespassers, quickly training them to stay away from your yard.

How is MotixSpray powered?

MotixSpray runs on 3 standard AA batteries, delivering over 480 operating hours. This cordless design allows complete placement freedom anywhere in your yard without tangled cords or needing an outdoor electrical outlet.

What is the detection range and coverage area?

The PIR sensor sweeps a wide 120° arc reaching up to 32 feet (10 meters) out, safeguarding an effective area of 150 to 200 m² (up to 2,100 square feet) from a single unit.

Can I adjust the water spray distance and arc?

Yes. MotixSpray includes intuitive control dials that let you customize both the spray throw distance and the coverage arc, ensuring water only sprays targeted zones rather than sidewalks or driveways.

Is it safe around pets, plants, and children?

Absolutely. MotixSpray uses 100% clean tap water from your garden hose. There are no hazardous chemicals, toxic baits, or electric shocks involved, making it completely harmless for pets and families.

Can it stay outdoors in bad weather?

Yes. Built with heavy-duty ABS housing and rated IP44 water and weather resistance, MotixSpray is engineered to endure intense heat, downpours, and garden dirt.

How does it connect to a water hose?

Simply thread any standard 3/4" outdoor garden hose onto the hose coupling on the spike base, turn on your outdoor water spigot, and your motion sprinkler is instantly armed.
